Ongoing Formation of Priests: Formation in Chaste Love

The Institute for Priestly Formation welcomes you to this resource for priests. At the invitation of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on Clergy, Consecrated Life, and Vocations, the Institute for Priestly Formation, along with other organizations, is providing resources especially geared toward priests in their care for their own interior life. The theme for 2020, as chosen by the CCLV, is Live on in my Love: Formation in Chaste Love - John 15:9. Inspired by the Gospel in which Jesus exhorts the disciples to keep his commandments and abide in his love, and in keeping with the teaching of St. John Paul II in Pastores Dabo Vobis, this theme intends to cultivate the ongoing formation of a chaste heart in priests and deacons and encourage them to explore practical ways in which the Church can educate society about the value and joy of embracing a life of authentic chastity as expressed in the diverse vocations of ordained ministry, consecrated life, and marriage.  IPF provides these resources as reflections to draw priests into deeper communion with the Lord, particularly in the sacred beauty of their care for own spiritual lives.
