COVID-19 Updates

A Note From IPF's Executive Director:

Dear IPF Family,

As we enter into the second-half of summer, I wanted to update you with hopeful news. It had been hard to imagine IPF without the Summer Program for seminarians, and yet as we are approaching the latter portion of summer the Lord has continued to guide our mission with time for prayer, and some opportune consultations. We have been able to have extended conversations, via video conference, with a number of our adjunct faculty and supporters. These have led us to explore how to serve bishops in their spiritual lives, how we might assist recently ordained priests, and where we may be of service when the new Program for Priestly Formation document is released.

As we continue to monitor the pandemic, we are hopeful that we will begin another cohort of the Spiritual Director Training Program in September on the campus of Mundelein Seminary. We have been working together to make sure the program continues to provide the atmosphere needed for the nearly 150 priest participants to deepen their own spiritual lives as they seek to become spiritual directors for others, while abiding by the local health guidelines.

We, at IPF, have been keeping all of you in prayer each day. Let us continue to pray for each other and be open to the Holy Spirit’s guidance in this time.

As the current situation with the coronavirus, COVID-19, continues to change and shift, we wanted to provide a list of updates with details about what's happening with each of our programs and events. Please check below to find out information on each upcoming event or program:

Spiritual Direction Training Program, Section A

Originally scheduled for: September 27th - October 2nd
Update: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the first three-weeks of the Spiritual Direction Training Program were cancelled. This group will now meet for the first time April 18-23, 2021. New dates for the final year of the program will be posted on the website as soon as they are confirmed with the USML Conference Center.

Spiritual Direction Training Program, Section B

Originally scheduled for: October 11th - October 16th
Update: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the first three-weeks of the Spiritual Direction Training Program were cancelled. This group will now meet for the first time May 2-7, 2021. New dates for the final year of the program will be posted on the website as soon as they are confirmed with the USML Conference Center.
