St. Ignatius of Loyola Spiritual Direction Training Fund

In Honor of Rev. James McCormick

St. Ignatius of Loyola is a purpose restricted fund within the Institute for Priestly Formation Foundation established by Richard and Mary Pat McCormick in honor of Father James McCormick to help support the Spiritual Direction Training Program for Diocesan Priests. The three-year training program takes place at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake, Mundelein Seminary in Illinois.

The program fosters the priest’s heartfelt encounter with the Trinity and anchors the priest’s identity in an ongoing deep personal relationship with God. It also introduces the priest to the dynamics of contemplative spiritual direction so that he might exercise this discerning awareness in pastoral ministry.

You are invited to contribute to this purpose restricted fund by opening a named fund with a minimum gift of $25,000 as a tribute or memorial honoring a family or friend. You may also donate any amount as a gift to an established named fund, as a general recurring gift, as a one-time gift, or as a gift through your will or trust.
