Ways to Give

The Institute for Priestly Formation welcomes and appreciates your support. We understand giving to a charitable organization is a very personal and prayerful decision for you and your family. The Institute For Priestly Formation (IPF) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Your prayers and financial support are deeply appreciated. All contributions to IPF are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. If legal or tax advice is required, please consult with your own professional advisors. Here are some of the many ways you can partner with IPF in renewing the priesthood and the Church:

  • Give Online: Online gifts can be made through our secure online giving form. You can allocate your online gift any way you wish.
  • Recurring Gifts: You have the option to make monthly, quarterly, or annual recurring gifts through our online giving form. This is an efficient solution to make your gifting budget friendly. You will have the option to identify your gift designation.

By Mail

You may choose to send cash via a check directly to IPF or the IPF Foundation. Please make checks payable to the Institute for Priestly Formation or the Institute for Priestly Formation Foundation. Please include your gift designation.

Stock Transfer

We welcome gifts of stocks and securities which can provide significant tax advantages to donors. To initiate the electronic transfer of stock, please contact Mary Buttell at 531.272.8472 with the name of the stock, the number of shares, and your gift designation.

IRA Transfers

Transfer a gift directly from your IRA or other Qualified Retirement Plans to IPF or the IPF Foundation as part of your Required Minimum Distribution. If you are at least 70 ½ years old you can donate up to $100,000 annually from your IRA and receive tax benefits in return. Please contact Mary Buttell for further information at 531.272.8472.

Memorials and Tributes

Gifts to the IPF Foundation in memory of a deceased person or as a tribute to a living person are wonderful ways to acknowledge a friend or loved one. Family members will be informed of your thoughtful gift. Please be sure to include the name of the person you wish to honor.

Planned Giving

A Planned Gift is a charitable contribution made during your life time or any bequest that takes effect upon your death. A planned gift can be as simple as an outright gift of cash or as sophisticated as a charitable trust that is integrated into a multifaceted financial and estate plan. While all planned gifts benefit the Foundation, some also benefit you and your estate through reduction in income tax and/or estate transfer taxes.

Contact Mary Buttell at 531.272.8472 to assist you if you wish to include IPF in your estate planning.
