BroomTree Retreats

BroomTree Retreats

with Trudy McCaffrey

Spiritual Director, Mrs. Trudy McCaffrey, will be available at Broom Tree Retreat Center, Irene, SD to direct a limited number of priests for a silent retreat during the following dates:

  • June 30 - July 31, 2020
  • August 30 - September 7, 2020
  • November 15 - November 23, 2020
(These are the dates she will be at Broom Tree.  Retreatants may possibly arrive earlier or later depending on room availability.)

Each retreatant has his own room with private bathroom, queen bed, dresser, recliner, and writing desk.  The Adoration Chapel in the Retreat Center is open 24 hours a day as well as Sts. Isidore & Maria Chapel (the little white church on the hill nearby).  An exercise room is available in the Retreat Center, and there is a walking/running path on the property.  The daily schedule includes meals, Mass, and Holy Hour.  The director will set a time for spiritual direction each day.  The rest of the time is spent in individual prayer.  The cost for meals and lodging is $100/day.  The director’s stipend is $350. Sales and tourism tax of 6% will be added to the total invoice.  A 5% discount will be given if paid in full with cash or check prior to the start date of the retreat.

More retreat dates will be available later in the year.  When those dates are set, they will be posted on the website for Broom Tree Retreat Center, www.broom-tree.org.  For more information, visit the website or feel free to call their Administrator at 605-263-1040 or send an e-mail to broomtree@sfcatholic.org.
