Spiritual Moms

What is a Spiritual Mom?

Spiritual Moms are women who agree to pray intercessory prayer for the seminarians attending the IPF Summer Program for Spiritual Formation for Diocesan Seminarians at Creighton University in Omaha. There is no financial commitment; this is strictly a prayer apostolate.

Some women are matched “one-to-one” with a specific seminarian. Others are “general” prayer Moms and receive the names of all the seminarians. Moms are asked to pray one “Hail Mary” for either their specific seminarian sons or for a few seminarians on the list each day.

How do I become a Spiritual Mom?

When is Friends Night this year?

Due to Covid restrictions on the Creighton University campus, there will be no Friends Night in 2021 as spelled out in the brochure.  This allows women outside of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area to pray for a specific seminarian this summer.  One-to-one Spiritual Moms will be able to send letters to their Spiritual Son Seminarians, but will not have the opportunity to share the evening with him at Friends Night as in the past.
